Best Pocket Holsters
Dec 6th, 2009 at 12:47pm

Recently on another thread, we were discussing discrete concealment of the Glock 26. I mentioned three pocket holster makers that IMHO, are makers of some of the best pocket holsters out there. I want to re-print that post here.

For pocket carry, this "Blackbird" pocket holster made by Mike Meredith of Pocket Concealment Systems [shown here with a PPK] is the best pocket holster on the planet. I have one for my PPKs and one for my "Baby Glocks".

http://pcsholsters.com/catalog_item_BRD.html

Also, Randy Cooley of Bulldog Leather Company makes really nice and very affordable pocket leather for the Glock 26 and other pocketable guns.

Last but certainly not in the least are the most wonderful pocket holsters made by Bear Creek Holsters out of Texas.

All of the above pocket holsters will provide a functional and comfortable and concealable carry for the Baby Glocks.

These holsters:

1. Do not print.
2. Stay upright in your pocket.
3. Protect the gun's trigger guard.
4. Stay in your pocket when you draw the gun.
5. Allow an easy draw.
6. Are pretty.
7. Are rugged.
8. Are low profile.
9. Are made for either left or right pocket carry.

Thanks -- I like that PCS rig.  I've been looking for something for my .380 and it might just do the trick.

In all honesty, Mike Meredith of PCS makes awesome pocket rigs. He is the "Pocket Holsters Godfather".

Beautiful holster. I use just a plain old Uncle Mike's #3 for my snubby, and an Uncle Mike's #4 for my Bersa Thunder .380. I like them a whole lot. However, I really like the craftsmanship on the PPKs holster. I think I'll have to save my pennies for one.

I can attest to the high-quality leatherwork done by Bear Creek Holsters. (See the link Bruce provided.)
Mine fits the gun properly and exactly, and there's a nice little bit of (unnecessary, but aesthetically very pleasing) embellishment added, too.

Ordered one from BearCreek holsters and it should be in any day now. Doug was great to talk to he took time to discuss in detail with me to make sure it would be the right fit for me. I find that very refreshing today because people just want to make a sale  and rush you off the phone so they can move on. So I'll will let you know when I get it. If his holsters are 1/2 as good as his service I'll have one heck of a holster. Smiley

DaSquid,
It appears that you are a proud owner of a Taurus 605.  What holster have you been able to get that accommodates the 605?  Also, have you been able to locate a comfortable concealment holster for the 605?  I would deeply appreciate any help.

Thad Rybka pocket holster for my PPK.  It's SUPER.  Mika's holster for the Jframe and ActionDirect pocket holster for the KelTec and Kahr.  Both excellent.

I much prefer the pocket rig to be made of Kydex, as long as its corners are carefully beveled-rounded and the thigh side of the rig has padding sewn onto it. The stiff plastic really prevents any sort of "gun" looking bulge from showing, and the gun slips free of the rig like it was on springs.
